![]() ![]() I did USB mapping by following a post on GitHub from someone with a slightly different motherboard than my own (Aorus Pro Z390 - non wifi). Could this be an issue? I have read that my video card (RX 5700XT) had some freezing issues in Mojave, hence why I upgraded to Big Sur for better driver support. Some more details / what I've come across in my research: There must be a hint in there, I just don't know enough to see the issue. I enabled debugging mode on Opencore, so I will attach the log because it seems to be drastically different from when the OS is running normally. This changed nothing, and the issue still persists. About a month ago I upgraded to Opencore 0.6.4 and Big Sur 11.0.1. Initially I had Opencore 0.6.2 installed with Mojave. Nothing I do seems to re-enable any peripherals, and no USB devices are detected when I plug them in / out during this time. I figured this out when it "froze" during a YouTube video, but the video kept playing, and my iMessages screen at the side continued updating with texts. ![]() My bluetooth trackpad, bluetooth keyboard, bluetooth headphones, wireless mouse and secondary wired keyboard all simultaneously stop working, creating the illusion of a freeze. As you can imagine, this is extremely inconvenient, even more so because I'm a web developer and have lost work several times.Īt first I thought it was just a regular freeze, where the computer stops working completely, but I have since discovered that the processes themselves are not actually freezing. Ive been running Opencore for about 6 months now, and everything for the most part is working perfectly, except that the computer appears to "freeze" randomly with no prior warning, and can only be fixed by doing a hard reboot. Hopefully some of you kind people will know what's going on! I finally had to break down and create my own post because I can't seem to find help anywhere for this issue. Hello, I'm new here but I've been a reader for a long time. ![]()
